My, oh my, this was one spectacular elopement. Spending the day with Eddy & Amy at San Francisco City Hall and around the city was such a wonderful experience, it made me want to specialize in elopements. Eddy & Amy met in England, and now live in Australia. They are incredibly kind and delightful people to be around. Both are super kind, courteous, and humourous, and very down to earth. They are both world travelers, and spend the first few weeks before their elopement traveling the states, followed by seeing the beautiful Central Coast of California after their union as husband and wife. I started the day off by meeting them in the infamous Room 168 at San Francisco City Hall. As many other couples anxiously awaited their turn to be called, I chatted with them about their bright future, and the present life they have now. It was like sitting with a Jane Eyre book (speaking of the sweet "whimsically in love" part, not the dramatic dreary endings), which may make me sound very American, but that's quite alright, as I very much enjoyed being in their presence. I learned much about the many differences between Australian & UK lifestyle and land versus the life most lead here on American soil, which just sealed my belief that life in Australia, Ireland, or Indonesia are for me one day. We just have to allow Josephina to grow up a little bit more :-)
All in all, I am so thrilled that Amy & Eddy chose me to photograph this secret elopement in one of my favorite cities, at some of the most beautiful locations. As you'll see from the photos, we also hit Crissy Field, near the Golden Gate Bridge, and Mission St. for the SF City Cable Cars. I hope you enjoy the photos of two people, who are very much in love.
